When you're dressing, gals, is always important to be yourself. On stage, your costume is, indeed, important, but make sure its YOU, and that the music fits YOUR style. Don't waste your efforts on trying to be someone - or something - you aren't. You'll find that you'll make more of an impact with your audience
(and fans). Be comfortable with who you are, and it will show in your performance.
This carries over, by the way, into the "Weekend Warriors," as well as those just starting out in the profession. Drag has changed, sometimes NOT always for the better. Many Queens emphasize "attitude." Leave THAT at the door, girls!
Cross Dressers, please take note of these points, too. If you're "clubbing" or just "dressing to pass," all of this holds true.
For CD's (and the Transgendered), you'll get clocked pretty easily if your attire or attitude is inappropriate.
Either way, whether you doing it as a job, or just for fun...Make it FUN, make it REAL, and make it YOU!
