2009 Ball Drop?

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! I sure did, but was a little disappointed when it came time to watch the annual "ball drop" in Times Square.

You know, the ball usually drops during the countdown, right? Well, this year they unveiled a new ball, with all sorts of cool l-e-d's, that was "supposed" to do some pretty fancy stuff on the way down.

Was --->I<--- the only one to notice that noticed the ball DIDN'T drop? As a matter of fact, the silly thing when "dark" when the button was pushed, as the countdown started!

I haven't seen anyone mention it, so i figured I'd point it out. I guess someone "didn't drop the ball" on this one, LOL!
